IMPORTANT NEWS: rules crossing land borders in West Africa.

Consensus reached in the The West African Monetary and Economic Union (also known under the French acronym, UEMOA: Benin, Burkina, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinée Bissau, Mali, Niger, Sénégal, Togo.) for the PCR test.

The Heads of State of the Uemoa Region have reached an accord to harmonise the price of the PCR test for Covid-19.

It has been agreed to grant reliability to the tests done by the laboratories qualified in the respective countries, with a validity of 5 days, after the date the sample has been taken, for travellers in the Uemoa region.

It has also been decided to fix a unique prize for the PCR test for all travellers in the Uemoa Region. This decision will be applied in May. The price of the PCR test will be 25 000 CFA (40 euro) for air-travellers and 5 000 CFA (10 euro) in terrestrial borders.
